Mr. van den Berg is a co-founder and a Senior
Partner of Venture Partners. Prior to Venture Partners, Mr. van
den Berg was a director of Unotec AG, an asset management company
owned by Dr. Stephan Schmidheiny. In Unotec he was responsible
for the management of the private equity investment portfolio
with engagements in Europe as well as in the USA.
Until
1993, Mr. van den Berg pursued an international management career
over a period of 20 years in the ABB Group. He held various senior
management positions related to the energy and industrial business.
During ten years he worked and lived in the Asia Pacific region,
where he set up new subsidiaries and developed new markets and
companies for the ABB Group.
Mr.
van den Berg is a board member of several privately held companies,
of the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA), and is President
of the Dutch Business Round Table.
He
has a M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Technical University
of Delft (NL) and completed a corporate MBA program.
